Today we are sharing our Favorites: January Edition!
STEPHANIE’S FAVES
1. Bath & Body Works Peach Bellini Candle: My sister-in-law bought me this candle as a thank you gift, as she knows I love ALL things Peach: the smell, the flavor, the color! This candle is no exception- it is sweet and tart and spreads throughout my whole house! It reminds me of spring, although I wish the weather would still reflect winter.
2. Bake at 350 Sugar Cookie and Royal Icing Recipes: Last weekend was my daughter’s first birthday, and like a crazy person I decided to bake cookies for all of our guests to take with them. I have had quite a few sugar cookies that really never did anything for me; they were bland and clearly only there for a part of the decor. This recipe has changed my mind! I used this meringue powder and this food coloring gel, and I believe they both made a difference in the overall flavor and appearance. If you are looking for an easy, SUPER tasty recipe, give this one a try!
3. Philosophy Hope in a Jar: I received a sample of this product with one of my usual Sephora orders. I am always on the lookout for a cream that will be easy on my skin and actually make a difference. I have been using this cream for a few weeks now, and I am loving it! I have already noticed a difference in pore size and skin tone.
4. Old Navy Rockstar Skinny Jeans: I have always had a love hate relationship with skinny jeans…mostly hate. I could NEVER find a pair that fit me well and didn’t make me feel like a cow with gigantic ankles. After a few different people with similar curves recommended Old Navy Rockstar Skinny Jeans to me, I knew I had to give them a try. I have found my love for skinny jeans and have been wearing them ever since! They are affordable, have a little stretch, offer a variety of styles, and have a mid-rise for those of us with post-baby muffin tops that needs to be held in. I recommend going up a size. (Just do it; you will be happier you did.)
5. Essie- Meet Me at Sunset: Speaking of color, Meet Me at Sunset has quickly become a favorite for the nails. It’s a bit bright, but I love the bold orange-coral color. It makes me want to drink a peach bellini!
CANDACE’S FAVES
1. 100% Pure Beeswax Candle: I received two of these candles for Christmas, purchased at our local Farmers Market, and I am in love! They smell slightly sweet, just like honey, and have a beautiful, sun-like glow. Plus, I’m learning they may even be natural air purifiers!
2. Burt’s Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser: On the hunt for a new gentle cleanser, I decided to try Burt’s Bees, and I am hooked. My skin is left feeling incredibly soft, and the scent is so welcoming…perfect for a kiss good night!
3. Mini Rosemary Tree: I scored two of these at an after Christmas clearance sale, and now they sit beautifully on my mantel. The scent is fantastic, and the sculptural element is just what I wanted. Plus, they’ve been super easy to keep fresh and happy.
4. IKEA ‘Ranarp’ Nickel Lamp: We’ve been redoing my music room, and this lamp was the perfect addition. The silver and gold metal hues go with everything, and the modern look is so clean and chic.
5. Basic Happy Birthday Banner: While I’m all for hand-making banners and garlands, sometimes the simple ones really do it just as well. My hubby and I hang this in front of our window for our birthdays (a tradition he’s had since a kid), and it’s the sweetest way to start the special day. (I turned 31 this month and left it up for a week!)
These are a few things that made January special. What have been your favorites this month?

Love that Happy Birthday banner! It’s the same one we had growing up and now I use a similar one for my kids. One of my favorites this month is my new Breville juicer that the hubby got me for Christmas! We have been juicing almost everyday in January!
Melissa, I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a juicer! Since I recently signed up for Family Farm Fresh’s baskets, I was thinking it’d be a great way to make the most out of what I’m getting each week, especially if I have a busy week and can’t cook dinner every night. Hmm…I’ll have to look into this more!
