1. Burt’s Bees
I have recently started using more products from the Burt’s Bees line. It started when my mom gave E a bath using their baby products and I couldn’t get enough of the scent! So I went and and bought a wash and a few lotions for E and a body lotion for myself.
When I was in need of a face wash I decided to give their wash and face lotion a try as well, and they are both great. They are very sensitive and don’t cause me to breakout.
2. Bio-Oil
This was recommended to me by my sister-in-law when I was complaining about stretch marks. I have just started using it, so I don’t really have a review- however, I love the way it feels while going on- it is very smooth and really not oily feeling at all, it absorbs very quickly and smells pleasant too!
3. eos Chapstick
eos lip balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. It smells great and is fun to use and keeps your lips soft and hydrated. Don’t let you know 2 year old use it though, she will eat it 🙂
4. Pacifica Color Quench Lip Tint
I love love love this! It is super smooth and the color is the perfect amount for a slight touch on the go. I have two different colors and they are both great! I gave them to the women in my family as one of my favorite things this Christmas. You can get 1 for $9 or you can try 3 for $18 in trio set.
5. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck
I first smelled this perfume on my mom. It is a little sweet smelling but not real floral, which I like. I asked for it for Christmas and have been wearing it whenever we go out. I really love it!
6. Soapwalla Deodorant Cream
A friend sent me a link to the deodorant found on Etsy. I always have trouble finding a deodorant that I really like. I can’t use anything with an anti-perspirant because it breaks me out. So finding a natural deodorant that actually works has been a challenge. I have been using Tom’s for a while, and I like that- although on days when I am really busy, it doesn’t work as well as I’d like. So when I saw this I decided to give it a try.
I was hesitant because I have tried an Etsy deodorant before, and it was AWFUL- it would’ve been better if I didn’t wear deodorant in that case- but this had good reviews. It’s a little different, because you have to rub it in like a cream, but it actually works really well. I find that it’s a little harsh if I put it on right after shaving- but I have sensitive skin. So I use Tom’s the day I shave, then this for a couple of days after and it works great! No odor at all, even on days when I am out and about in the 110 degree weather here. So if you’re looking for a great natural deodorant- give this a try!
7. Suave Dry Shampoo
Confession- I only wash my hair once every 3 days or so. I am not sure how I got to that point, other than sheer laziness- I just hate doing my hair- so the longer I can make one wash and style last the better! But my hair has naturally become less oily as I washed it less, I really think you have the train you hair that way- so I have never really needed a dry shampoo and I didn’t want to spend $20 on it for sure. So when I was in Walgreens and saw this dry shampoo for only $3.99 I thought I would give it shot and I am glad I did. I really like it! It has a nice fresh almost citrus scent and it just gives my hair a boost- it gives me a bit of volume when I don’t really want to add more root boost and blow dry again and it has been a great fix for this new mom of two!
8. Lucia Apothecary Sugar Scrub
I bought this when I was on my girls trip with friends in a beach town at a local store and I have fallen in love. Not only does it smell fantastic, but it has a great oil in it that makes your skin feel incredibly soft and not oily at all, and the sugar scrub is a great exfoliant. My favorite is to use it right before shaving, my legs stay smoother easily for a couple of days longer than usual!
I love the eos chapsticks too so does my toddler. I have to hide it or else she will ask for it. I will have to try some of these other finds:)
I have been wanting to try Burt’s Bees on the boys…and I use Bio-Oil too!
I love dry shampoo too! I’ve been using it for about 2 years or so. I’m not sure when I started washing my hair so infrequently either, haha. Probably when I got pregnant the first time!
Out of these you have gifted me the deodorant cream and the color quench lip tint. Thought I’d chime in and say I love them!! They’re so great. I found that cream in a Lucky “things we love” article, so I’ll have to actually read those a little closer from now on. I also am a fan of Bio-Oil – so great for healing scars, as well as eos chapstick. Love the feel and scent!
I have been using Dove Refresh dry shampoo since the birth of baby #2 (about two months ago). I packed it in my hospital bag because I am obsessive about having clean hair. Turns out, I don’t have time to wash and dry my hair every day so this is my new fave product.
I also traded my expensive facial moisturizer (Clinique Youth Surge) for the less expensive Aveeno age-decelerating moisturizer…so far. so good.
My favorite recent discovery is the trendy BB Creme…I use Maybelline (again, cheap, but effective). I don’t like wearing a lot of make up, but this gives my skin an even, effortless glow.
Fun post, thanks!!
