I am linking up with Laura a second time for her day in the life series. See my first Day in the Life- Working mommy post here. This is my SAHM post, since I only work part time, my days are different.
8:20am- I hear E talking to herself, but usually let her wake up a little more before going in there.
8:40am- Her conversation with herself becomes a little more animated, so I roll out of bed and head in there, only to find that she is still laying down with her eyes closed, she hears me and quickly sits up with a smile 🙂 A wonderful way to start my day.

9:00am- after a quick diaper change, and some cuddling, E lets me know she is ready for breakfast.

Blueberries and peanut butter toast for E, a pinterest inspired DIY Frappacino for me. At first I really didn’t like the frapp, it was too foamy and not chocolately enough, but that was probably because I didn’t have enough chocolate syrup. But at the end of my drink when everything settled a little, I liked it a lot more. Not sure what the solution is though, or what made it so foamy- maybe the coffee creamer? If I could perfect this though- I could save myself A LOT OF MONEY!

9:30am- Breakfast is over, I let the dogs in to clean the mess on the floor and start a list of things that I need to get done today, or at least this weekend.

I sit down to turn on E’s cartoon for the morning and quickly add dust and clean television to the list… dusting- one of the joys of living across the street from a vineyard.

9:50am- Log into blogger and read this post, kiss my daughter, just because.
10:05am- come out of the restroom to see that E has poop on her hands… and I realize that because she has a full length footed sleeper on, there isn’t any way it is hers. It’s then I see our big dog cleaning herself and realize just what kind of poop it is! ICK!! I shoo the dog outside, find a small piece of dog poop on the floor that apparently E decided to play with, and quickly ran her over to the sink to have her hands and face washed, praying she didn’t eat anything!
While Barney is still playing, I move into the kitchen to clean up breakfast and emtpy the dishwasher.

10:30am- I head into the bedroom to start sorting laundry and get the first load in.
While in the laundry room I see a box of Resolve High Traffic carpet cleaner and decide that NOW is the time to put it together. I go to town on the carpet in my guest room because my Spot Bot likes to leave spots all over the house, defeating it’s purpose.
E finds me, giving me the pouty lip, so I take her in the living room and change her. After, I head back in the spare room to finish my carpet cleaning, about 5 minutes later I walk out to see that she hasn’t moved from when I changed her… a tell sign of being ready for a nap.

I head over to the kitchen table to get some invites for a baby shower that I am co-hosting put together and addressed when again, E finds me and gives me “if you don’t put me down for a nap I am going to lose it” look.

10:55am- E goes down for her morning nap and I continue with my invites.
11:30am- 1st load of laundry goes in the dryer, second load goes in the washer… I use the used dryer sheet for a quick dusting and head to the fridge to start cleaning!
Before…

During… trash a lot of things, repackage others, and clean every shelf and drawer like crazy.

Also… throw anything away that expired in 2006.

After!

12:45 Refrigerator CLEAN! Mess from cleaning refrigerator cleaned up as well 🙂 Shove a couple a grapes in my mouth after realizing I haven’t actually eaten anything today. I am pretty sure my body needs food to lose weight… clearly part of the problem.
1:25pm- She’s awake! Praise God for a nice long nap! Time to get lunch ready.

I forgot I am supposed to have pictures of myself… so here they are 🙂

3:00pm- Lunch is done, I’ve vacuumed the house (E loves the vacuum!) and am ready to steam mop when she goes down for a nap. The 2nd load of laundry is in the dryer, the 3rd and last load in the washer. Now time for a handful of M&M’s, a Diet Pepsi and an episode of Parks & Rec…

3:40pm- E is down for her afternoon nap. Time for me to get things cleaned up and hopefully steam mop the floors.

4:15pm- Floors are done, I can hear E in her room still awake talking to herself… Hmm what to do for dinner?
4:35pm- the talking has stopped and she is sleeping soundly… still no idea about dinner…
Headed over to Pinterest and found this! This is dinner, I have everything but the onion and potato- but I think it will still be yummy 🙂
5:30pm- Dinner is made, hubby is home, but I hear E whining, this is too short of a nap. She continues to whine, so we get her up for dinner.

6:15pm- My parents come over. I am heading to Lowes to help my mom pick out paint colors for their new house. It is only about 2 miles away- which is fantastic!

7:00pm- We drive through Starbucks and head back to their new house to pick up my dad… we take a quick tour and look at the paint swatches we’ve picked out.

8:00pm- We head back to our house. When we get home E and Daddy are reading Toy Story on the iPad. I sit down to write a little on this post 🙂

8:30pm- We get E changed into PJ’s, read her bible, pray and put her down to bed. Hubby and I head back out into the living room for some wind down.
9:30pm- Finish up this blog post. The rest of the night will be spent hanging out with the hubby until bedtime.
I got a lot accomplished today and feel pretty great about the amount of cleaning that I got done, I should point out that since I work part time I do try to clean a lot on my Mondays and Fridays so I don’t have to on days when the hubby is home. I love these days and this time with E, she is so much fun and is such a happy kid, that my days at home are really easy. I am SO blessed to be able to have these two SAHM days!
Sounds like a great day. E is to cute & her hair is getting so long

I never thought about making my own frappacino at home. I may have to find that recipe, it would definitely save my wallet LOL
