This is my fourth week off of work, and this is what I’ve taken to.
The last three weeks were busy. I have made all the arrangements, I’ve cooked meals to last us a couple of weeks after she arrives, I packed our bags, we’ve finished our nursery, I’ve shampooed the carpets and steam cleaned the tile, all of her clothes are washed and her carseat is in the car… I think it is safe to say that we are ready, we are prepared.
Amongst all that, I have also managed to walk, spend some time with God, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner with friends and family and spend time with my little girl- still contained where I can be sure she is safe.
At my last appointment we were told again that we will most likely be waiting into the first of December. We have family visiting this week and I truly love this time of year. And as much as I can’t wait to meet her, it helps to have other things to keep me busy right now. Thanksgiving is this week and I am really looking forward to spending the time with our families, eating some good food, and enjoying some laughs.
It is raining outside, the fireplace is lit, the Mulled Cider candle is burning, I have my iced tea close by and I started the morning with a bubble bath. I have reread Harry Potter 7 and seen the movie once and am simply relaxing this week. This is my week where I make no plans and no promises… I just wait, and relax, and enjoy this last little bit of time to myself.
You are doing a great job of being patient. The anticipation of Bella’s arrival about drove me to insanity. Good luck on your final stages of pregnancy. It is nice to have the holidays and family around to distract you.
ok this is getting scary, I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing (literally) so I jump on Blogger and you had posted this 0 seconds ago… lol
So glad you are having this time to enjoy “you” time and that you are enjoying youself! YOu are in my prayers always.
Can’t wait to see pictures of your sweet girl! Love her nursery and I am so glad you are enjoying your final days. Happy Turkey Day!
