WE DID IT!! We finally finished baby G-2’s bedding!
After we finished the crib skirt we spent one night cutting everything needed for the bumper pads and a second night ironing, pinning and sewing everything.
I decided to buy these pads to go in the bumper. I could’ve bought batting or a large piece of foam and cut it down, but for the price- these were a great buy and super easy to use. They even came with a set of instructions that we loosely followed.
Pinning the long side of the bumper- this took a little while to figure out to make sure we didn’t have to resew, but we finally got it. We had to pin the inside fabric (blue/red) and outside fabric (red dot) facing each other so when we turned it we could stuff it, but along with that we had to pin the red piping at the top and the ties in the center!
Starting to stuff!
All stuffed, pinning the side corner ties… (not sure why Bella in the background and I have similar looks on our faces- I assure you we were not experiencing the same scenario!)
Sewing the sides shut…
ALL DONE!! Isn’t it SO PRETTY!!
I love it! Thanks Candace for all of your hard work!
I would say you’ll see it on the crib soon, but it’s backordered- that’s another post soon to come with the other progress we’ve made!

This bedding looks beautiful! I am SO impressed that you made it yourself!
SUPER cute!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Love the fabric, great job
I love it! I just found tutorials on this on Pinterest and I’m doing (or planning to do) the same thing. I find tons and tons of fabrics that I like but no actual bedding so I’m going this route. I found tutorials for the bumper and fitted sheets. To say I’m a beginner at sewing is an understatement…I hope it’s as easy as the tutorials make it out to be!
