How Sweet This Is

S’more Cookie Bars- LOVE!

in Recipes on 08/25/10

Last week one of the ladies in the office brought S’more Bars and I think I fell in love! I asked for the recipe and decided to give them a try for a family dinner we were having. And of course, I couldn’t resist sharing with you!

Ready?!

Ok here were go, you will be amazed at how easy these are and how quickly you can make them. I think it took me a total of 40 minutes!

So first- Get together everything you need for YOUR favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe minus the chocolate chips. In addition you will need graham crackers, 6 Hershey’s chocolate bars, and a bag of mini-marshmallows.

Mix as usual but don’t add the chocolate chips and replace 1/2 of the flour with crushed graham crackers.

Spread mixture into a greased 9×13 baking sheet.

Bake as needed. I baked at 350 for about 20 minutes… just keep watching it. While you’re waiting for it to bake, unwrap your Hershey’s chocolate bars.

Immediately after pulling the cookie out of the oven, place the chocolate bars on top and let melt. Change your oven setting to broil- low if available.

When chocolate bars are mostly melted, spread mini-marshmallows across the top and place in oven under the broiler. Watch it closely though, because it won’t take long for those little marshmallows to puff up and turn golden brown.

Remove when marshmallows and browned to your liking!

Let cool completely… we ate them while they were still warm and it was a big gooey mess- still delicious but much harder to cut and eat.

ENJOY!!
