How Sweet This Is

Easy DIY Heart Straws

in Citrus and Cream, Create, Holidays on 02/11/14

It’s a proven fact that a cute straw makes any beverage taste better. To make sure you’re getting the most out of your Valentine’s Day drinks, we’re sharing the easiest way to turn a plain ol’ straw into a stylish sipper. You only need a few materials (you may even find you already have them!) and a few minutes.

Materials

  • Plastic straws
  • Plastic page divider in red (usually comes in a set) and a plain piece of paper
  • Hole punch and scissors

Instructions

Make yourself a heart template with a piece of paper. Trace around the template onto the red divider and cut out the hearts, being careful not to crease them. Punch a hole in the top and bottom of each heart, then stick the straw through both holes. If your straw has a bend on top (like pictures), be sure and start at the bottom.

Once you’ve made one for you and your Valentine, grab a couple favorite drinks (we recommend Top O’ The Morn’s chocolate milk), and enjoy!
