I was SHOCKED at how many gifts there were, I honestly was thinking there wouldn’t be many. I am so thankful- I can’t believe how blessed we were!
I didn’t want too many traditional shower activities, and I didn’t want my mom to have the expense of serving a full lunch. So we decided on cake, coffee and punch and one fun game. Most of the women at the shower have been to a million showers and can probably answer any questionnaire about babies, so I decided to mix it up a bit and create a game about names. I wrote everyone’s name down that was at the shower and then looked up the meaning of their name and wrote it on the right. They had 5 minutes to match the names to the meanings- the winner got 9 correct!
On to the gifts- we got a ton of diapers and wipes! I know from E that we will use all of them! We also received a few other special gifts and outfits.
My mom crocheted baby a quilt! I can’t wait to drape it across our glider and use it to rock her with on those cold nights.
The aftermath and all of the goodies!
It was a great day celebrating with our families and close friends. I am so glad I caved and let my mom do this, it was really special!
