Well, the countdown is on and I am in FULL party preparation mode!
E will be 1 year old this week, I just CANNOT believe it! That is a whole different weepy post though, that I will save for another day!
This week I am rushing to prepare and finish all the final details for the party. As of now I have over 40 people coming to my house, with another 30 still waiting on RSVP’s! Yes, I know that is a little crazy for a 1-year old’s birthday party- but in all honesty, these are mostly family members and close friends. And she is worth celebrating!!
Today I attempted to start making my poms… and needless to say the first was a big fat fail! I kept tearing the tissue and couldn’t get it anything close to spherical.
But I tried again, with a small tweak and was successful! Apparently with the smaller poms you need smaller folds… lesson learned!
Our “party chair” is covered in supplies for the party. Her birthday tutu is made (it’s the ball of tulle sitting there).
I got some great deals from Party Works sales, I found a $20 off $75 coupon with free shipping and was able to get all of the paper products and some of the decor in one big shipment. The food is all I really have to buy still, everything else will be handmade and hubby will be making the rounds borrowing tables and heaters this week.So this week I may be a little absent trying to get things together, but I can’t wait to show you the final party! I think it is going to be so much fun- as long as E kicks this cold she has… and it doesn’t rain! Rain will definitely put a damper on the outdoor bon fire and s’mores- so I am praying for good weather! Happy Monday Friends!

loving the colors. I wanted to do pom poms for Keira’s party but didn’t get to. Cant wait to see pics.
I bet it’s going to be so cute! I can’t wait to see the pictures!
So fun! Have a great time!!!
Congratulations on E turning 1!! Such an exciting time! I’ve loved watching her grow up through your blog :).
I can’t wait to see it! I can’t believe she is already a year!
I tried making tissue pom poms for my baby shower and had to have my mom fluff them out because I kept tearing them…and I would get so frustrated that I would end up crumbling them into a ball and throwing them across the room! 🙂 I can’t believe E is one already! Crazy. Hope everything turns out great-can’t wait to see pictures!
Love that purple…and yes poms can be tricky! Good luck with the party!
Stopping by from the MMS group to share some love.
