A couple of months ago I was trying to think of things that a mom with a boy would need. My sister-in-law was pregnant and I was creating this basket for her baby shower.

Now, I have a girl- so I don’t know a lot of boy things, but I do know that we deal with more pee, poop, and spit up than anything else. So the logical items to be included were burp cloths, diapers and wipes, and I thought PeePee TP’s. I was trying to hand make as many items as possible, I think it’s more fun and personal that way, and I also think it helps to have things that are reusable- for example I use only cloth nursing pads, so I thought cloth TP’s would be great! She could throw them in the wash with his clothes and save themselves from the spray!
So I set out to sew a couple of cloth PeePee TP’s and wanted to share them with you!
All you need is one fun fabric and one absorbent fabric. The fun fabric I used was just cotton fabric and then I used terrycloth for the other side, although I think you can use chenille (like I used on these) or even felt.

Place the two fabric together and cut out a circle, I used a large bowl to measure.

Cut in half.

Turn fabric right-side-facing and sew along the curved edge.

Turn right-side-OUT and sew again along the curved edge to clean it up a little.

Fold circle in half again with the absorbent side facing out, so that it looks like a piece of pie, then sewn along the straight edge.

Finally turn it right side out again and you’re done!

PeePee TP’s!

Aren’t they cute!? And you can use just about any material you have lying around the house. You could even use old receiving blankets or burp cloths for the inside.
So there you go, have at it making TP’s like crazy! 🙂 Protect yourselves!!

Aren’t you smart! Super cute!
I’m trying to use them! He kicks them off and I’ve been peed on a few times…poor little guy got his face once too. Mommy is still learning! 🙂
Meg- hopefully they will work to save yourself a couple of times if nothing else! Ellie stills pees when I take her diaper off, but unfortunately for us it just puddles down and soaks everything underneath her!
Those are hilarious, and so very cute! You are so clever to make them yourself. For some reason my son was never prone to the whole peeing during the diaper change thing – thank goodness! But I know so many parents who have been peed on by their baby boys. I just might have to make some for gifts. Thanks!
