My friend Candace asked me to post a tutorial for the fabric flowers that I had on miss Ellie’s framed hair accessory holder. I had also used these fancy little fabric flowers to dress up the bag that I wrapped her birthday gift in! They are SUPER easy to make and you can use them in so many different ways!
So here it is, first start with a piece of fabric about 2 inches thick and at least 12 inches long. The longer your fabric the bigger the flower, the thicker the fabric the thicker the petals.

Next, grab the knot in one hand and the rest of the fabric in the other and twist the fabric around you finger a little, much like you would twirl you hair around your finger.

As you twist the fabric start wrapping it around the knot.

Continue doing so, adjust the fabric as you’d like. I also like to add a dot of hot glue ever time I go around just to secure everything.

When you get to the end of your fabric strip, tuck the end behind the flower and glue it down.

You can be done here, however I always add some hot glue to the back of the flower, again just to secure everything.

That’s it, easy peasy! Have fun!
Easy peasy indeed! Thanks!
Ooooo. I know what my next craft is! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
