Time for another favorite things post with Miss E!
This is a great inexpensive video monitor. I had the Angel Care monitor when E was a baby, and I love it- I will be using it with baby G2. But when E got older and we didn’t need the motion sensor anymore, we decided to get a video monitor. I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars so this was perfect. It works well, give a good picture and I can add a second camera for baby G2’s room.
Munchkin Nursery Projector and Sound System
Fisher-Price Rock, Roll ‘n Ride Trike
She can rock and ride on this cool toy! We are going to take it outside now and pull the handle up behind it so we can push and she can learn to pedal. It’s a great transitional toy!
Step2 Heart of the Home Kitchen
We bought this kitchen on sale at Costco (I think that is the only place they sell it) and E LOVES it! She has a great time playing, pretending, and rearranging. It was a great purchase for the age she is at!
Small World Living Toys Peel ‘N’ Play
E got a set like this for Christmas and has a great time with it. She is learning good hand/eye coordination and enjoys cutting the veggies in half and velcro-ing them back together.
Fisher-Price Ride ‘n Drive Shopping Cart
E loves to not only push things around the house, but she loves to collect things. So this was a great purchase! She can collect all kinds of things and push her shopping cart around the house. It’s also great to store 2 dolls in and all of the other little knick-knacks she pulls out.
Britax Marathon Carseat
We bought this carseat when E was a year old. We kept her in it backwards until she turned two and then recently turned it around. Facing both ways she has been comfortable and safe- which is more important. The carseat is a little pricey- but when taking long trips I want her to be able to sleep and relax and I didn’t think that was possible with some of the cheaper carseats.
Munchkin Sesame Street Toddler Fork and Spoon, Elmo
Finding utensils for E to use that are easy and work well was difficult. We tried the cheap plastic ones from the stores but the handle seemed hard to navigate for her. I found these online and since she loves Elmo I thought it would be fun, but they turned out to be really easy for her to use! They are our go-to spoon and fork for her now.
Squeezy Pouches (I order them in bulk from Amazon.com so they are cheaper this way).
E still loves what we call Squeezy’s both in these mixes and in the applesauce. It is one of the only ways I can get fruit, veggies, or even just food into her sometimes.
Mudpuppy Sweet Patterns Wooden Magnetic Uppercase Letters
E got a set of these for Christmas and love them! They are super cute and sturdy. She is always hanging out by the fridge with these letters or collecting them to go in her shopping cart.
APPS
These are E’s favorite Apps right now!
Talking Angela is a little cat that can repeat back what you say and can mimic your gestures! E loves to sit and talk to her, or put her down and run around and scream to hear Angela scream back.
Sound Touch has been a favorite for a while. It’s a great App with a lot of choices (Animals, transportation, birds, household items, etc) that baby can touch, hear the name of, then hear the sound that that items makes and a picture of it. It is easy to use, baby just touches screen to get to the item, then touches screen again to get back to the main screen.
Talking Ginger is a new one- we found it from Talking Angela. It is a little different in that baby is supposed to help Ginger get ready for bed, you brush her teeth, help her take a shower and blow dry her hair. The little cat reacts and will mimic sound as well. It also has a teeth brushing timer!
Well, I think that’s all for now! Hopefully I can keep these up! 🙂
